The May's Lick fire district is served by an all-volunteer department
founded in 1965. This fire department is funded by grants from the
Mason County Fiscal Court, and by donations from the community. Recently
the May's Lick VFD purchased a new fire truck to better serve the residents
of the area. This cost of the new truck ($150,000) was partially
paid by a grant; however, the balance of the payments must be made by community
support. The 17 members of the May's Lick Volunteer Fire Department
complete long hours of training, and are ready to risk their lives to
save your family and your property. Let's all help support this valuable
new tool that will improve life for all of us. If you'd like
to donate to the May's Lick VFD, or you are interested in volunteering, please
contact Fire Chief John Larry Dodge at (606) 763-6201.
