Asparagus Bread

1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups finely diced asparagus
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, eggs and oil and beat until
creamy. Mix flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon; add dry ingredients
alternately with diced asparagus into creamed mixture. Stir in chopped
nuts and pour into greased 5-inch by 9-inch loaf pan. Bake for 40-45
minutes or until done. Cool on rack.
